Godot Turn Based Tactics - Demo » Devlog
I've been busy, but I've wanted to make an update for a while now. There were still some missing features that I wanted to include in the game that weren't featured in the last release, along with bug fixes.
Major Additions.
- Added level 9, which includes customizable battalions in the deployment phase.
- New Characters. Added 6 new characters, 4 will be available in level 9.
- New Character Classes.
- Skill System. Nearly all playable characters have a skill that will affect different combat in different ways.
- Added additional information menus.
- Added Item Shops and Item Stockpiles to certain levels.
- Added droppable items.
- Added Talk conversations, including enemy recruitment conversations.
- Added character class promotions.
- Battalion sprites are now dynamic based on the units in the battalion.
- Added a save system. Note this is only for the downloadable version; the web version does not include the save system.
Balance Changes
- Adjusted Stats and Stat Growths of player and enemy units.
- Added a hit chance penalty to long-range attacks.
- Battalions can now properly retreat from combat sectors
- Added consumable healing potions.
Fixes
- Fixes to internal navigation.
- Fix multiple potential crashes.
- Better Unit Range display
- Updated Godot to the newest version
